I always look forward to Sundays, particularly Sunday mornings when I can catch up with friends for a leisurely breakfast and a good natter, then still have most of the day ahead of me. By the time I get to Sunday, most of the major chores that take up my Saturdays are done and I can finally relax and plan for the rest of the week.
Here’s what I wore today for a relaxing breakfast with one of my lovely friends. This is one of my favourite outfits. It’s comfortable and a little sports luxe with its silvery fabric.
Planning ahead for the week
Planning what to wear for the week is something that has helped me avoid moments of I have nothing to wear! when I wake up in the morning. It also helps curb any desire to buy something new for my wardrobe. As I mentioned in previous posts, using the Stylebook app has been essential to my planning. You don’t need to use this if you have other methods, but I’ve found it invaluable. To help me plan my outfits, I review the weather forecast and delegate specific outfits to wear for the week. I can also look back on what I wore the previous week and make sure I wear a couple of new outfits or pieces that I haven’t worn the week before. This helps to mix it up and get the most from my wardrobe. The app gives me stats on how many times I have worn an item/outfit, which is great for me. I owned one particular silk tee that I love but never got around to wearing it. Last week, I wore it a couple of times to increase its wardrobe circulation number.
Here’s what I’m planning to wear during the working week. On Wednesday, I’m going to wear the blue chevron dress. This outfit is one that I tend to avoid wearing because I’m not sure I feel comfortable in it. I’m going to give it a go this summer and decide if I should keep it after the season.
